Mooring Analysis

KNUD E. HANSEN A/S can accurately assess the absolute and relative motion of a vessel when moored. This includes determining mooring line tensions and the forces acting on the fenders, anticipating line tending according to draft and trim changes and reviewing the adequacy of vessel mooring equipment.

The six degrees of freedom dynamic model can include factors such as the loads on winches, slow drift oscillations of moored vessels, environmental effects (like wave motion, current and wind forces), the effect of friction and any other type of motion, and force and constraint, all within a time and frequency domain.
