KNUD E. HANSEN has asked the award-winning architect studio, Steen Friis Design, to develop a functional and contemporary interior design for their new headquarters in Elsinore.

The beautiful modern-classical building “Lundegaarden”, a former naval hospital, will be carefully renovated to reflect the maritime background it shares with its new owners. The building will also include office space for other tenants who appreciate the building’s history and unique location close to Hamlet’s Kronborg Castle and one of the world’s most travelled waterways, the Oresund.

KNUD E. HANSEN and Steen Friis Design already have ties to the region, as they have joined creative forces to design the new shuttle ferries for ACE Link that operate between Helsingor and Helsingborg.

The transformation from an abandoned building to a hub of maritime expertise has already begun, and KNUD E. HANSEN looks forward to moving to their new headquarters in early spring 2009.
