The KNUD E. HANSEN book “Ship Design Through Seven Decades” has come out November 2, 2007.

Ship Design Through Seven Decades is a journey through the cutting-edge of passenger ship Naval Architecture from 1937 to the present day, and is lavishly illustrated and covers every significant passenger vessel designed by KNUD E. HANSEN since its foundation.

The author, Bruce Peter, is half Danish and is a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, of the Royal College of Art and of the University of Glasgow. He lectures in Architecture and Design History and Theory at the Glasgow School of Art.
All of his life, he has travelled by ferry across the North Sea and throughout Scandinavia.

In addition, he writes regularly for the shipping industry journals Cruise & Ferry Info, Designs and Guide and for the travel section of The Sunday Telegraph.

His PhD (2005) examined the Modern Movement in British pleasure architecture 1925 – 1940.
