Project specification
Download specificationThe vessel is a Dynamic Position (DP) 3 steel hulled accommodation and maintenance vessel, with three (3) stern thrusters, for propulsion and DP, three (3) retractable azimuth thrusters and one (1) tunnel thruster at the bow for DP, intended for international offshore operation in warm and temperate waters. The WCFDI (Worst-Case Failure Design Intent), for the DP system, is the loss of two (2) thrusters (one aft and one fore) achieved by automatic changeover of the tunnel thruster.
The vessel will operate on DP-mode with the heave compensated gangway connected to a fixed, semi-submersible – or FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading) types of offshore installations. The vessel is certified as a passenger ship for 500 passengers on international voyages and, additionally and certified according to the Code of Safety for Special Purpose Ships 2008 (SPS Code 2008) for 500 special personnel.
