Download specificationHer Danish Majesty’s Yacht, Dannebrog, was built at the Naval Dockyard, Copenhagen, launched by Queen Alexandrine at Copenhagen in 1931, and commissioned on May 26, 1932. The yacht now serves as the official and private residence for Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and members of the Royal Family when they are on official visits overseas and on summer cruises in Danish waters.
It was refitted and given new engines by Elsinore Shipyard in 1981 and now after more than 80 years she has travelled more than 300,000 nm and remains in excellent condition. Dannebrog is 78 metres in length and displaces 1,238 tonnes.
